A Painful Road To Recovery
We wanted again, to express our sincere thanks to everyone that sent well wishes and support since Lisa's fall.
Lisa is, at last feeling a little better, and her external facial swelling is going down, which mean she doesn't look like "Kung-Fu Panda" with two black eyes. yeah, I did call her Po for a week.
Here last visit to the hospital was agonizing and in true Lisa fashion, prior to her treatment, Lisa asked me to film it. I have to be honest this was tough to film as she held my hand and fought the pain.
I've said this to many of you..."Lisa is one of the toughest people, I've ever met".
This little video does show her entire procedure, but it also illustrates graphically, the reality of long term travel. Sure for the most part travel is a privilege and incredibly rewarding, but adventure has teeth and now and again it bites. In this case it also sucks.

Right now we're in Panama and waiting for Lisa to heal a little more, Her head is full of internal bruising and her sinuses and head space is blocked with fluids and dried blood. The internal pressure in her head is effecting her inner ear, which in turns effects her balance. So, for the next week or so, she won;t be going anywhere near a motorcycle.
