Nicaraguas new computerised border control

Left Costa Rica and headed into Nicaragua. Leaving Costa Rica was easy and what a great surprise the border in Nicaragua was. The Aduana and security payment officer was out and explaining what we needed to do before we’d even got off the bikes.

Aduana took 2 1/1 hours. They were all nice enough but customs had introduced a new computer system. I was told that I was the first person they’d processed using the system. The ‘security payment’ was US$12 per bike. Even the pot-holed roads weren’t too bad. A pretty good ride today.

Left La Cruz??? And arrived in Leon. Stopped for a beer and spoke to Stephan and Martin. Mark and Daisy said high there traveling on an Africa Twin.
